WHAT IS GOD DOING?

“…..we were ,,, predestined according to the plan of Him Who works out everything in conformity with the purpose of His will …..
that we … might be for the praise of His glory.”
Eph. 1.11

God knows what He is doing!

He has a predetermined purpose and plan that He is working into our lives--heart, soul, mind, body.

The purpose, plan and goal of God in and for our lives is eternal in its prospects, “for the coming ages.” (Eph. 2.7)

It is no secret what God is doing!

.....that you may know …
His glorious inheritance in the saints,
and His incomparably great power for us who believe ...
power.....like the working of His mighty strength.....
Eph. 1.18-20

The apostle is quite clear and forceful---”That you may know.”

The word for “know” is “insight,” more than just an idea or information. This knowing is God-given revelation.

.....you are … God's people … God's household.....
to become holy temple …
a dwelling in which God lives by His Spirit.”
Eph. 2.19-22

The purpose, plan, will, goal of God is revealed by the Holy

Spirit to God's people when they come to a holy place to meet with and learn from Jesus Christ.

Abide in Me.”
John 15.5

Abide” means “a dwelling place.”

If we meet with God,

He will show us His plan and goal for our lives.

Come … learn from Me,”
Matthew 11.28-30

Let's do it, now!

SHAKY GROUND?” OR “ROCK SOLID?”

...a wise man built his house on the rock...but...

a foolish man built his house on the sand...”

Matthew 7.24-27

I have set the Lord always before me.

Because He is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

Psalm 16.8; Acts 2.25

If we live our lives with Jesus Christ as our Rock and Lord,

we will not be “shaken.”

To live on this Rock is to “follow Jesus” as our Lord.

Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”

Matt. 4.19

To “follow Jesus” is to obey Jesus' commands.

If you love Me,

you will obey what I command.”

John 14.15

Jesus' commands are given to His disciples in “The Sermon on the Mount.”

Jesus spent 3 ½ years teaching men how to obey the commands in His “Sermon.”

At the end of this time, Jesus told these men:

Go and make disciples....baptize them...

and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you.”

Matthew 28.18-20

Jesus insisted on obedience from these men over and over the night before His crucifixion (John, ch. 13-14-15-16). His concern for their obedience was in His prayer to the Father later that night (John 17).

Obedience to Jesus' commands is now directed by the Holy Spirit.
(John, ch. 14,15,16)

To build our lives on The Rock,
we are to obey the commands of Jesus Christ,
today.
