I AM HIS; HE IS MINE
John 15.5

Once I accept Christ as my Savior, He becomes Lord of my life--all my life—heart, soul, mind, body.
As my Lord, He redirects my ways into His ways, with all His wisdom and powers.
He works with me “to will and to do of His good pleasure,” or “to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.”  Phil 2.13

He is pleased when my focus is like the following verses:

Those who live in accordance with the Spirit
have their minds set on what the Spirit desires….
.the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace…
the Spirit gives life because of righteousness….
Those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
Romans 8.5,6,10,14

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ,
set your hearts on things above,
where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.
Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things….
Put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge
in the image of its Creator.
Col 3.1-2, 10

This one thing I do…
I press on toward the goal to win the prize
for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.
Phil 3.13-14

With my focus on Christ, not self, the Holy Spirit prompts me to do His will all day long.  When I fail, I am forgiven, corrected, and given another chance to learn the obedience to His will that transforms me into the eternal image God has of me.

            …trials of many kinds…test your faith…
so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
                                  James 1.2-5

So I am no longer left to myself.
When I asked for salvation, Jesus took ownership of my life.
As I stay focused on Ro 8.5 day and night, the Holy Spirit develops me into a
tree of righteousness, planted
by the waters of life,
reflecting the splendor of the Lord.

Ps 1.2-3,   Is 61.3
