THE WISE IN HEART

Proverbs 16.21

 

THE WISE IN HEART ARE CALLED DISCERNING,

AND GRACIOUS WORDS PROMOTE INSTRUCTION.

 

Wise--

Discerning, intelligent, discreet, understanding

Able to cause other to understand,

Able to teach for understanding

 

 

Gracious--

Sweet

Hebrew word used only twice, here and in 27.

 

Honey--

Know also that wisdom is like honey for you:  if you find it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

Pro 24.14

 

 

Instruction--

Learning, teaching, instruction, persuasiveness

 

 

I must have wisdom in my heart in order to be able to discern the words that others need. 

I must apply careful attention to what others need and then find the words of wisdom in my heart to speak "sweetly," graciously, so You can instruct others with the words You have given and directed me to use for them.
