FAITH UNDER PRESSURE
LUKE 8.50

6:09 AM

Your daughter is dead.  Don't bother the teacher anymore.

Hearing this, Jesus said to Jairus,
"Don't be afraid; just believe,
 and she will be healed."
Luke 8.50

I believe, but it is not happening the way I want,
which is, "Right now!  This is an emergency for me."

I want things immediately.
I ask God.  I pray.
I believe it is good and right.

God makes me wait!
He tells me, "Trust Me."

My trust and wait capacity is very Brief!

God's purpose is to use our prayers in a way that either develops or demonstrates our faith.

He will do things His way.

It took twelve years of suffering for a woman to touch Jesus and be healed.

After what seemed an eternity for Jairus' anguish to be felt for maybe 20-30 minutes, Jesus resurrected his daughter.

However, the centurion (Chapter 7) demonstrated  adequate faith for Jesus to act instantly in his behalf.

The disciples were put into a storm and had to awaken Jesus and then face their "little faith."

The woman whose son died was given grace out of Jesus heart as soon as He saw her.  She did not even know how to ask.

A forgiven woman responded in a dramatic way to the love Jesus extended to her.

If we are wanting God's help, He will work to open our eyes to see Him more clearly and therefore have greater faith.

Our faith is strengthened as we seek to grow in grace and knowledge of Who Jesus is as we wait.

God uses our every need to develop a greater degree of faith.   Greater faith opens greater doors to His grace and glory.

The issue always involves the increasing of our faith.
We are to trust Jesus' methods of increasing our faith.
It is about trusting the methods Jesus uses to increase our faith.

It's believing,
God knows best,.
Father knows best.
Jesus knows best.

It's how we answer the Big question:

 Two blind men followed Him.
When He had gone indoors, the blind men came to Him, and He asked them,

"Do you believe that I am able do this?"
"Yes, Lord," they replied.

Then He touched their eyes and said
"According to your faith let it be done to you."
Matthew 9.28-29

God knows our needs.
God knows the best way to help us.
God knows how to increase our understanding of Who He is.
He knows how to increase our faith.

"Don't be afraid;

just

BELIEVE."
