LUKE 5.16--JESUS PRAYED

7:07 AM

One verse--"Jesus withdrew to lonely places and prayed."

Always a question--Why would You pray?

What is there about You and the Father that You needed to go somewhere alone--frequently?--to pray?

You were the man Jesus Who often withdrew.

As the Son, You had infinite and unbroken intimacy with the Father.

But this Godness was hindered by becoming a Man.

As a Man You needed time alone to be in the fullness of fellowship that You in Manness needed.

The time You spent alone would have been for direction for Your limitedness.

But it would also be the time You desired just to be with the Father in love, joy, and peace.

So I here/now see that time with You is essential to knowing You and what to do each day, hour, minute.

If I now know the importance of my days, therefore hours and minutes, then I must seek You for how to use them and what to do with them.

I must seek You in aloneness  for wisdom and strength when I am oppressed by adversity.

The most important use of my time is to know You in love, joy, and peace.

I am to use my hours to seek Your grace and mercy to grow in grace and knowledge of Your gloriousness, experiencing love, joy, peace with You and from You.

In this time I will be being filled with the riches of Your fullness, becoming like You in true, genuine holiness and righteousness , further developing love, joy, and peace.

I must seek direction for what to do and say with, to, and about those I am with.

  1. Seek to grow in grace and knowledge of You.
  2. Seek to grow in holiness in Your image.
  3. Seek to grow in righteousness of what I say and do with, to, and for others.

I am to seek hours to learn from You and about You.

I am to take care of personal needs.

I am to invest time with others.

Time with others is to be for their strength, comfort, and encouragement.
Time with others is for proclaiming the promises and teaching the way of grace.
