1.17-32--THE GOSPEL OF RIGHTEOUSNESS
In the gospel the righteousness of
God is revealed--
a righteousness that
is by faith from first to last,
just as it is written:
"The righteous
will live by faith."
Righteousness with
God is the Gospel.
Salvation begins with
the decision to "Follow" Christ in order to learn from Him and about
Him.
If we learn about
Christ, we will realize how much He loves us.
If we realize that He
loves us, we will love Him.
If we love Him, we
will follow Him and keep His commandments.
If we do not love
Christ, we do not know His love for us.
If we do not know He
loves us, we are not following Him.
If we are not
following Him, we are not His disciple
If we are not His
disciple, we are not saved
If we do not follow
Christ, we do not keep His commandments.
If we do not keep His
commandments, we are still in rebellion against God.
Christ has no place
or part of our lives.
We are not saved.
If we are not saved,
we are still slaves to sin, to our sinful nature,
to
temptations of our world,
to
demonic, devilish powers of this world.
If we do not love and
obey Christ, we are not obedient to the commands of Christ.
We are suppressing
the truth of God's righteousness.
What may be known
about God is plain to everyone.
To reject the
righteousness of God is to embrace every kind of corruption.
Any and every kind of
corruption is self-deceiving and self-destructive.
We are "under
the wrath" of God.
We deserve death.
We will perish in our
sin.
The wages of sin is death.
If You love Me, obey My
commandments.
