PSALM 58--PROSPER OR PERISH

Saturday, July 20, 2013

5:37 AM

The wicked are the foolish of Proverbs.

The wicked will not repent.

They consciously choose trouble and destruction.

They will perish.  Psalm 1.6

Even though the wicked have some selfish tendencies from the womb, they could repent but will not.

All have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

The wages of sin is death.

The gift of God is eternal life.

The wicked do not repent.

They will not repent.

They suppress and oppose the truth.

Their destruction is just.

  John1; Romans 1.

In spite of increasing pain and destruction, the wicked will not repent.

Adam was clearly warned of life and death.

The warning was enforced.

The righteousness will be avenged, glad and rewarded.

This latter statement does not mean "gloating."

It does mean the justice and rewards of the goodness of God are given to  the righteousness.

Avenged and rewarded is the evidence that believers are saved and unbelievers will perish.

2 Cor 2.15-16

This is a sign to them that they will be destroyed,

but that You will be saved--and that by God.

It has been granted to you on behalf of Christ

not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for Him.

Phil. 1.28-29

Among many, many evidences and efortss of Godto ring about repentance, the faithfulness of God's people in the midst of suffering is one of the most important.

We will suffer persecution and hardship.

Our faithfulness demonstrates our faithfulness through the valleys.

Our reward of patience, compassion, kindness, humility, peace, joy….

Are evidences the love of God and His goodness to all who follow Him.

Whatsoever they do will prosper…

with goodness and mercy all the days of this life

and the house of the Lord forever.

 Ps. 1.3,6
